You can get Grimaldi's almost anywhere these days. More and more locations are popping up at malls all over the country. It's very good pizza, not denying that, but it's not exclusive to LA or anything.

I am originally from Chicago, and I can guarantee you that your friends will not be impressed with the pizza here. If they like fish, try that instead for a change of pace (Chicago is a long way from the ocean!). Or if you really have to, I agree that Masa of Echo Park is pretty darn close! And a fun neighborhood to visit if you like hipsters and music.
