I am trying to resist Ikea, but the allure of easy shopping, cheap furniture and quick delivery is alluring. Surely there must be something else.

Not looking to get some crazy expensive mid-century vintage piece, just hopefully some affordable real wood furniture, even if I have to assemble it myself. Last place I subletted from had furniture that I found at stealasofa.com . Not the greatest furniture (fake leather coach), but I actually really liked it.

I have no car (also on my shopping list), so getting around is difficult.

I'm a big fan of Living Spaces. Not sure where there is one near you, but they have a great website with everything on it. They'll even do same day delivery.

There is one that opened up in Mid-City where the Osh used to be.

why? cause I have purchased furniture in Central LA and have found good deals. There are actually some places in mid city that may not be living spaces but have good furniture.

I've had a good experiences with Macy's and Craigslist. In the case of CL, I look for specific brands/styles.

Are you looking to further decorate with any vintage refractors or perhaps a nice Newt on an EQ?
