Default Working in Carson, where to live

Hi,

I'm taking a job, probably in Carson. I would like to live near the beach in a safe area. Where is a good place considering traffic? Is Santa Monica too far? Is Manhattan/Redondo nice? What about the OC towns?

Thanks in advance.

Manhattan is about as nice as you can get... I'm talking... really damn nice. Redondo is good for the most part. Torrance is another good option. It all depends on what you want to spend. Parts of Long Beach would work too.

My range would be up to $1500-1600, could be more depending on the offer. Looking either for a nice studio or a 1 bdrm. Would rather have a nice studio than a dumpy 1 bdrm.

Lakewood would be nice as well, but I would start east of Lakewood Blvd.

Torrance is a bit older, but affordable.

Seal is nice, but could be far. Long Beach would be an easier commute. Signal Hill is right by the 405 and will give you lots of options as well, since you would get to Carson via the 405
