You can watch old Adam-12 1967- 1974 episodes and Latinos are described as Caucasian when they cops put a description on the radio.

So the White Asian mix, since we can't racially identify Latinos, or didn't start to try until very recently would be the most common while the Black and Asian mix would be the least common.
Was there a joke somewhere that I miss? Not sure why you would use television shows as references.

My point was and is that "race" is a social construct, a very poor construct just by looking at our government's definitions. But you have a more solid reference, t.v. shows .... I'm done.

TV is a recording of how we interact socially. How did people call each other in 1970, look to a 1970 TV series it will tell you.

I cannot speak for other parts of California, but from my observations in Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks I'd say Asian/white couplings far outnumber Hispanic/white. And I've lived in 90% Hispanic neighborhoods.

I'm thinking Hispanic and White due to sheer numbers of Hispanics. But statistically over a quarter of both Hispanics and Asians marry outside their perspective groups.

Interesting I would never have thought Black and Latino was a popular combination as I have never seen that combo or maybe I did and probably just assumed they were black. I am not sure if your list is in any order but according to the census 2014 estimates there were close to 100,000 Asian & white mixed people and around 48,000 mixed white & black. Maybe others are correct that Hispanics & non Hispanic whites are the most numerous but just don't count since they are very similar on physical features. The next decades is going to see a huge increase in all types of mixes I bet.
