Dear God. Its just absolutely sickening to see this repeatedly happen out here. When will it ever end? How many innocent people have to die/get beaten senseless for something to finally change? DISGUSTING

smh...this was going to happen sooner or later. We really need the feds to intervene. Hopefully somebody doesn't get killed before the U.S. government realizes there is a legitimate problem with homelessness on the west coast from seattle to san diego.

Makes me very angry and sad I guessed this one correct because it's a clear pattern

A transient said to be mentally ill punched and kicked the elderly man as he was walking down the street, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

It will have to happen to a politician's close relative for anything to change.

The feds can provide money and resources to provide something for there most vulnerable citizens. Portland, Honolulu and L.A. have already declared an emergency. Denver, and S.F. are thinking about doing the same.

Just returned from a trip to Japan and was surprised that homelessness is virtually nonexistent compared to the US. That country wouldn't tolerate what we see on the streets everyday in LA. If we continue to look the other way and don't get these people off the street it will continue to worsen. I laugh when I hear people say this is the greatest country in the world.

I've been saying for a while on here that the homeless can be violent.
No , not all of them are violent. But when you see some shouting obscenities and acting threatening..that should be a warning sign of someone that can be violent.

This happens and we just saw a homeless guy kill a 7/11 worker in Valley Village.

I'm sure there were warning signs that this guy was mentally ill.

This should send a clear message .. but sadly I'm sure it will be business as usual and written off as yet another
"Isolated event"..
