Is the Battle of Los Angeles well-known? Did you know any witnesses to it?

I've heard of it. Anyone that witnessed it and can remember would have to be around 80 or older and I doubt many are posting on the city data forum

I never knew about this. Didn't realize that the Rage Against the Machine album title was based on this ... Learning new things every day.

I heard about it, but I doubt it is well known. I did know some people who lived here at the time, but never had a conversation about the incident.

It's been on a few UFO and conspiracy tv shows so it's probably more well known now

Wasn't that parodied in the execrable John Belushi/Dan Aykroyd movie "1941"?

Just as you have to be around 80 to remember the source material you have to be middle aged to remember that movie released in 1979

A movie with the name and a "mockbuster" named as such to steal their money and advertising efforts. But they were alien invasions not the fear that the Japanese got ships that far east.
