Anyone know how the law works in Los Angeles county with regard to landlords being legally obligated to offer you a month to month rental agreement after a certain period of time? Someone told me that after a year they have to offer you the option to go month to month? Well what about if you signed an 11 month lease? I actually signed for 11 months and 3 weeks. I'm wondering what to expect when that lease expires.

They don't have to formally offer another lease or a month-to-month agreement. After your lease expires, you automatically go to month-to-month. I've been month-to-month here for almost six years now.
