Just a trippy 4/20 thought, but we all live in the same city, do you think there are times we drive past each other and maybe even at times walk pass without even knowing?

City Data is a very engaging tool full of mature, intelligent individuals. You simply can not get the same quality information from a corny youtube video of hipsters thinking their deep. Just look at the comment section of those videos, goodluck having an intellectual conversation.

Conclusion: even the City Data moderators have lifes, we all have hobbies and interest. So possibly there are times we encounter eachother at Santa Monica, or a Dodgers Game, or hiking mountains.. Etc, just some examples of things we Californians gather in mass numbers.

I feel like sometimes we forget on City Data that we are communicating with other living souls who wake up everyday in the same 30 mile radius as you commuting to work and such.

Probably not. There's maybe 50 regular posters on the LA forum, and how many millions in LA?

I'm not in LA anymore (lived in Calabasas for twenty years, though). But it's happened to me twice here in Northern California where I am now.

One former C-D poster posted so much information about himself, his wife, their travels, and even pictures of his house that I recognized it and realized that I'd been walking by with my dog and saying "good morning" to him for months without knowing who he was. And I didn't blow his cover! I didn't know how he'd feel about being outed so I just kept on as normal. He's since sold his house and moved away. He hasn't posted on here for years, unless he changed his screen name.

The other one was just a few weeks ago. But this one used a screen name I recognized from a hobby-related forum I also post on. I had no idea she was on C-D but our paths crossed on a random topic. I do see her around town (she'd posted photos and much detail on the hobby forum) and I recognized her but didn't say anything.

It's really a strange feeling!

I ran into YoungTraveler2011 over the weekend. I knew it was him because he was walking from his 200 SF West Hollywood condo to his leased BMW 4 series parked on the street, LOLing at me the entire time.

There is over 10 million in LA County that's right 10 million. Oregon just hit 4 million in the whole state.

I go out so little that the chances of this happening are very slim. Of course, all things are possible. It doesn't mean they're necessarily probable.
