I live just north of your circle, and work downtown. Although the area is nice I would suggest AirBnB'ing a condo in a high rise DTLA and just making it easy. DTLA is pretty upscale these days, especially if you stay closer to Figueroa and towards the financial district.

Don't use AirBnB's date filters to find the month span price, just find a few places you like and contact the host to see if they can accommodate a month-long stay. They likely have a day or two blocked somewhere in the month which will cripple your AirBnB search.
