I agree it has been crazy at times, but in this job market you try to grab any good opportunity you get.

They may be connected (?), but have different addresses:

Avalon

AVA Burbank
401 N Pass Ave, Burbank, CA 91505

Yeah, they look to be connected (same website domain). Both are Avalon Communities properties.

About the job, I have one of those jobs were company can't hire you fulltime and need you for a short duration.

I don't know if you can check my posts from last year or so, you see the same thing.
So you are going to move your family cross country to one of the more expensive places in the country for a temp position? That sounds like a terrible idea

And my apartment in Glendale was $1800 last year and this year they raised everyone rent to $2200. That's how the rental market is here and its only going to get worse

But you have a job in PA. You said you have to pay for the move yourself, correct? No relocation assistance?

Have you even visited Southern CA?

You can't just look at job opportunity, you have to look at things will I like living there, will money be tight, we don't know anyone there(as in someone to watch the 2 year old for a night out). What are you giving up in order to move? Can't just be about work.

I don't like to rain on anyone's parade because I moved here after college and working a year in NY in the late 80s. But I was single, had money saved, and family here. And it was still hard.

Sometimes the move you don't make is the best move.

I agree with what you said, but you should also add that Glendale(unlike the City of LA) has no rent control.

You wouldn't see that kind of increase in the city of LA.

I am thinking of flying in and out till I figure everything out. I used to do it in past and know that I might burn out flying coast to coast.

I moved to south last year and it went well and I was thinking I'll do the same in LA. Apparently my thinking is wrong...

Again, I would like to thank each and everyone for your guidance.
