No. SF is even more expensive to live than LA. Why don't you find a medium sized city somewhere that you can still make a good living but where your salary will go a lot further? That's what I'm doing.

I'm probably moving to Denver. I'm an OC native but the housing costs make it just too expensive to have the life I want here. I'm tired of being house poor and feel I'll never get ahead living here.

80k for a single person buys you a nice life here. I've lived on much, much less and did just fine.
