Hi, I need information on records from dominguez valley hospital that closed back in the 80s. any info please help

Depends on the age at the time you were a patient. State law requires the hospital to retain the records for seven years for adults. For minors they are required to keep them until the patient turns eighteen plus one year or seven years, whichever is longer. Some exceptions for certain records, but those are the general time periods that hospitals are required to retain them.
In other words, most likely the records have been destroyed by now. Some hospitals may keep them longer but it really is a space issue, it costs them to place all those records into storage.
