Any parent would be concerned. I know I would be. But that doesn't mean they are right, just that parents can't help it. That said, you should be fine traveling here alone. The worst thing about it would be the being alone part, I know I hate traveling alone.

I've been to LA once alone already and then two more times with someone with me. I like traveling alone because I get some peace of mind. I know what places to stay away from. I did a lot of research before I went the first time. But I love it there it's so beautiful I feel free and alive when I come to LA.
