I HAVE to move to LA to become an actor, I'm desparate, I'm miserable, and theres too many actors in Boston and so little gigs. The only way I'll ever become successful as an actor is if I move to where all the work is. The problem is my family and I have little to no money so I need as much help from the state as I can get to succeed and NO whining to me about taxes. Believe me they're going to a good cause as I cannot stand Boston any longer. I plan on going to LACC with fasfa when I get for Theatre Acting BUT I need to work in LA for at least a year beforehand. Maybe become a waiter? I heard that chicks get better tips than guys do but I'm willing to do anything and everything I can to get by at this point in time.

You have to live in CA for a year to qualify for residency.

NYC is much closer and you have just as good a chance to make it as an actor there. It's so close that you can even drive up in 3-4 hours and audition while you still live in Boston. You're not trying hard enough

Besides I'm not going to spend hours of my life driving back and forth just for auditions either way. I also said no whining or complaining about tax dollars being spent.

LA weather sucks too. It's hot and we are running out of water. I spent 28 years in Boston so take it from me you aren't missing much. Try Atlanta, it's cheaper and they have a bustling film/tv industry. Even if you did come here and qualify for state benefits you'd end up in the ghetto and the ghetto here is much worse than ghetto in Boston

We buy it from the store with our money that we make from working at our jobs.

Most of the welfare programs in CA require you to reside in the state for 5 years to be eligible. Good luck
