I've noticed sometimes places will say they are moving but don't actually move.

P.S what did the bartender say they always have the latest gossip

There was an article on curbed LA talking about the promenade redevelopment. The article said 2 hotels, aparents and a grocery store is planned for the development.

This is the article here, wonder when it will actually get built.
Massive development planned for Warner Center

Westfield Village took forever to get built.

Perhaps the precedent of that development will make things easier though.
It's opened and nothing really negative has happened in the area and the neighbors that complained probably shop or hang out there.

Knowing that area well there really was a lack of restaurants in the area and still is. There are some decent places in the Village...I feel that it has kind of a weird feel to it though, like the feng shui is a bit off.

I think the Grove and Americana are better examples of outdoor malls , Village feels kind of cramped.

I know it's a big project but it seems like an especially long amount of time .
Anybody else find this weird?

"Green said the company hopes to start construction in 2020 or 2021. The project — known as Promenade 2035 — would open in phases with a target completion date of 2035."

Yeah, I'll be 83. Hope they have wheelchair ramps.

No, but close enough. The quake shook the whole valley as well as Santa Monica and other places "over the hill". You don't have to be at the epicenter to get rocked. I live a few blocks from the Promenade and I was out of my house for a year for rebuilding.
