Many people wonder why L.A is so expensive and here is one reason. Huge demand from people with money buying up properties.

It's not uncommon for celebrities to own multiple properties in L.A and then there are the people that are very rich that aren't household names .

Depp will stand to make a nice profit when these properties sell and unlike a hedge fund he was able to use the properties for his own enjoyment all these years.

Forbes Welcome

I guess these properties are jump change for him as it mentions he's trying to sell his French Village property for $55 million.

I just appraised a brand new 13,000 footer in Hidden Hills and I completely agree.

Probably has something to do with the brand new 27 story Alexan Tower that's going up right next door, dwarfing the building and revoking his view/s of the hills.

Yeah I read that he had 3 of them for privacy reasons... Wonder how often he used them in total .
Maybe he figured the papz or stalkers wouldn't want to brave Downtown LA traffic and parking ? Lol

The five units are all connected. It is like one big 9 bedroom home. The reason he is selling is probably more because of his breakup with Amber Heard. They were married for four years. She claimed he hit her. Most people claim she was a gold digger that was there for the money. She ends up with $7 million from the four years with Depp.

You can buy all the units or purchase one of them. It is all up to the buyer.

Johnny's Depp's and other celebs properties are nothing compared to the amount of Chinese, Korean and Middle Eastern money invested in LA real estate. That's a much bigger reason as to why the real estate market is where it is right now

Isn't Depp now French? If so, why is he permitted to own property here?

Pretty sure he's an American, not that being French would prevent someone from owning property here.
