Do you think it's safe for a female to go to LA alone?

You tell us. You've been to LA. Are you trying to reassure your parents again?

You're almost 30 right, if I remember correctly from your last post? I'm a woman, around the same age...and I traveled numerous times to LA over the summer. No issues. Get a rental car, use your brain like in ANY city, and you are fine.

Oh, and I'm also MOVING to LA alone, next week...I'm doing just fine.

I don't drive when I come to LA I take public transportation. What is your career if you don't mind me asking?

You will have problems getting around, if you are planning for long term travel.

I'm in IT.

It can be safe or unsafe depending on:

-Where you are staying. There's a difference between staying in low crime areas vs high crime areas.
-How smart you are. Don't go out walking by yourself at night in not so well lit areas with not a lot of people present.

LA is not safe or unsafe for a woman to travel alone. It is what you make of it.
