Sounds like Heaven!

I've twice vacationed in Seattle in December, once in February. I love Seattle winters. I love the gray skies, the constant drizzle, the long nights.

I only dread that it doesn't last all year. I hear Seattle has dreadfully sunny summers.

But I'm an Angeleno who's long considered moving to Seattle. With property values so dirt cheap compared to L.A. -- I check Seattle Redfin regularly -- I don't know how much longer I can resist from moving up there!

Yeah I felt the same about Portland. The summers were perfect but the natives warned me the rest of the year can be grey and rainy. I don't prefer that but I don't find it the end of the world. To me the Pacific Northwest is just tops. Amazing place.

Albuquerque has, IMO, the best weather of all of the United States if you like some kind of seasonality. Warm/hot summers, summer monsoons, cool falls, crisp/cold winters without big piles of annoying snow (hello, Denver), non-slushy springs. DRY. Always dry, sunny, and kind of awesome. 320+ days of sunshine per year. Amazing sunsets. No June gloom. Ever.

I lived in ABQ 17 years and I still miss the weather. But before everyone moves there, wait for me to buy a house so you can all drive up the prices. ;-) Kidding. I hate home ownership. But I love ABQ.

2 days full of real, hard actual rain out of the past 3 days. Is this a sign of the apocalypse?

I have never looked back...until now. This weather is just killing me. While we never had a full fledged winter, Southern California used to have distinct shifts. Sweaters and jackets would be traded for summer clothes, save the occasional warm snap which was always a nice surprise.

With the years of drought and heat and I hate to say I am starting to fall out of love with LA. The monotony is killing me. We have no seasons. It's like we have turned into Arizona.

I've started to fantasize a move to the Pacific Northwest. My sister-in-law lives in Seattle and I find myself so jealous of her lifestyle there.

Does anyone else feel this way? I am so sick and tired of it here right now!
I prefer the south bay and east bay weather over L.A

its nice breeze in morning, perfect during the day and nice breeze at nights

in summer it does heat up you can wear shorts .

quick trip to tahoe to ski in winter

I am from the northeast and still miss seasons terribly, though common sense tells me that it's partially romanticism; I never really enjoyed driving on black ice and crashing up onto curbs even at only 15mph, or digging my car and my driveway out of a foot or two or more of snow.

It think it's harder at this time of year because the fall is so remarkable in areas that do have seasons.

Can you drive up into the mountains?
