TOVCCA is run by Republicans, for the most part. Its strict ordinances against smoking are not from the liberal elite. But yes, the far left liberal elite also hates smokers.
For the original poster, areas near military basis in CA will be more accepting of smoking in public. But even cities like Redding, ban smoking in public parks.

There are rich white people in Thousand Oaks, after all, and many moved there from the Westside - of course they despise smoking.

Methinks that TOVCCA anti-smoking paranoia has a distinct racial tinge to it (as it does just about everywhere in California)

Racial tinge??? LOL gotta be one of those everywhere you look, right?

Fact is, Californians hate smoking. Republican or Democrat, doesn't matter. Maybe extreme Libertarians oppose smoking restrictions, but they also don't smoke and don't like being around it.

I'm a landlord and I won't rent to smokers. Nor do I associate with them. Welcome to California.

Californians hate the homeless too, but that doesn't keep the state from coddling them. The antismoking lobby has a ton of money and that sells their message.

Maybe there should be a sanctuary city from antismoking laws, I wonder if that would be tolerated as much as sanctuaries for the homeless and for illegals.

Realistically, I know the good old days are never coming back and smoking bans are here to stay, but one can dream...

Where is Dr. TOVCCA? Sounds like you need an Rx for chantex. Hey I am a recent ex smoker. It is tough. I know it won't last and I'll relapse and need professional help from someone like Dr. TOVCCA. I'm determined.

But I do agree that anti smoking laws in public are to an extreme in much of Cali. The only legitimate exceptions are areas with children and areas prone to wildfire.

What is Dr. TOVCCA a doctor of?

Also.

I think vaping should be banned in certain areas, since it leaves a sticky smelly residue.

What chemicals are in it? Nicotine is carcinogenic. Any other carcinogens?

I private messaged Dr. TOVCCA inviting him back on, Mr. Majoun !

Maybe he will know the toxins in vaping.

The flavorings that make vaping so appealing are made using chemicals that can severely damage the lungs, a team at the Harvard School of Public Health found:
