Friends,

Finally i finalized the apartment and in the process of fixing things. I am planning to buy a new mattress and bed. I found couple of good deals in Craigslist and Offer up, but I don't have a truck or a big car to move these things. Is there anyone willing to offer some help or advise on how to tackle this scenario. I do understand there will be professional packers and movers, but I won't be able to afford that much right now.

Thanks.

Make friends at your new job quickly. Hire some day laborers from home depot/uhual parking lot before Trump deports them. Buy bed/mattress from a place that will deliver

Are you sure they are new from craigslist? Have you ever seen a truck with about 20 mattress heading south on the 405?

yep and by the way, Los Angeles has the second worst bed bug problem of any city in the U.S. I would definitely not buy a used mattress. If you get a bed bug infestation it can be a nightmare and you could end up throwing away your mattress and all of your clothes and other furniture
