that's actually not bad advice if you're starting from someplace in brentwood that's closer to westwood than santa monica. it might be hard to get around the VA theater and the 405, though. that area isn't very pedestrian-friendly.

i was being facetious, but you certainly would be quicker on a bicycle during rush hour than in your car.

I have been eyeballing the time to get to UCLA over the last few days during rush hour and honestly it has been great on both Sunset as well as Wilshire. 15-25 isn't that far off. In my previous post I said otherwise as I have just had the occasional nasty experience and it was in the nighttime commute towards UCLA--never the morning. However that was many years ago and they have reconstructed and streamlined the entrance to the 405 from Sunset in the last few years, which has helped tremendously for anyone going beyond that point into the UCLA area.
Also if one lives on or near a thoroughfare it is that much less time, so keep this in mind. |
