Depends on where you live in Reseda. I live just over the border (west of White Oak, south of Roscoe) and the crime is not too bad in my area. If you live in the Parthenia/Tampa area then you're in the middle of "section whatever" and you'll be lucky to not be waken up midnightly by dope transactions.

I could find an okay house in Reseda, but not if I hadn't lived here for 20-30-40 years and familiar with the neighborhoods.

What didn't you like specifically other than what you posted?

How bad is this place. to put it in perspective, i lived with my mom in a place called battersea in london, look it up..... on the estate we lived in they always found dead bodies in the apartments, there were murders, muggings.. rapes.... assaults. robbery's.... graffiti.... you name the crime and it did its time in battersea.... is Reseda like that bad...? Or are people just afraid of cultural variety? I'm a white male btw, but sorely miss being around who are not white.... grew up in a multicultural society... my school was 70% black in a 90% white area, weird i know.

So anyway how is Reseda really? When you say gangs, do you really mean kids hanging out and being kids or gangs with knives and guns.... because there is a huge difference.
Battersea, huh? My father-in-law is from Croyden and my best friend back in Newcastle upon Tyne is from a very bad area in Essex, LOL! My husband is a Geordie, and after living in the UK for 8 years, and then coming back to the USA I can state with all seriousness that many, many areas in the San Fernando Valley are just as bad as Battersea, or even worse. I found Glasgow to also be a very scary and violent city.

a gated community is good. reseda is 50/50 i have to say tampa is good but dont go all the way to parthenia and tampa thats the projects. stay out of etiwanda and vanowen thats the hood..lol pretty
much a place in reseda with a cluster of non gated apartments is not good.. but theres alot of quiet neighborhoods. its better to stay north of reseda the border is roscoe. pretty much every thing north of
sherman way is good. vanowen and sherman way be careful. occasional helicopters because the police are patrolling around seeing if anything is happening. its 50/50
