I am seriously considering relocating to Southern, California. I work from home; therefore, I'm not restricted to any particular location. Lately during my free-time, I've been researching properties. Most recently I came across some rather affordable homes in Calabasas on Mulholland Highway (the following link provides an example of one):

I imagine the area is not very desirable, because most of the homes are below 500K. My max budget is however 415K, therefore the home in the link is definitely within my budget. I am just curious about the overall area. Of course I plan to rent first in the Los Angeles area, while viewing homes, but before that point, I'd love to hear from those who are familiar with the homes on Mulholland Highway.

DawnW: I do see that it states "mobile/manufactured." It's very strange because the home appears to be on a foundation. I'm not really accustomed to seeing this sort of thing, because I'm from the North East. I guess that is the major reason why the property is so cheap. The general area (on google maps) also looks a bit run down.
