So Cal is expensive. I don't care where you live. Rents are high. Homeownership is high. Some scream to get in others scream to get out. I don't care if you're in west or east whatever city. I live where I live. Crime is going to be anywhere from a rich area to a poor area. Those $1500 apartments are probably gone in a few days. Because someone is going to take it. Like anything else California isn't for everyone.

70 and retired means you're taking up lots of space with your car. Adding to traffic and lines when younger people need to live life.

Hey now! Wife and I do quite well and choose to live in Hollywood. I'll admit it can be an absolute dump off the beaten path. [I live on the beaten path, near Hollywood/Highland]. Has many redeeming qualities though...Hollywood/Vine area is thriving, tons of entertainment and restaurants, slew of nice grocers, etc. Overall it's a very livable LA neighborhood if you don't have kids in tow.

And they have as much right to life as you do.

I guess if you didn't have kids, and you took advantage of the benefits of Hollywood (night life, shopping options, entertainment, etc) it could be passable. I just get an itchy allergic reaction anytime I venture into LA County.

The last time I was there, I saw a woman throw a cigarette butt onto the sidewalk about 1 inch long. Some bum sitting on Hollywood Blvd, ran over and picked it up and started smoking the rest of it.

You don't seem like the typical Hollywood leftist retard, why are you living in Hollyweird?

I would gladly (and long before that) if others were forced to as well.
We cannot sustain so many old people.

They don't NEED to live "here", they WANT to live "here."

I love this "moving the goal post" game people like to play when they're getting rekt'd.

disgruntled la native: You can't find a 1 bedroom apartment for under $1600!

*get proven wrong*

disgruntled la native: Uh uh uh... that's East Hollywood! You definitely won't find that outside of the East side of Hollywood!

*get proven wrong*

disgruntled la native: Uh uh uh... well I bet those are the only ones that exist! They're probably scams! This is impossible!
