Well for the Clippers being a failure for a decade in Los Angeles was better than being a success in Buffalo or San Diego

Define success? They will sell out all of the games here no matter what just because it's the NFL in LA. They are a better team then the Rams right now so they have a better chance at being successful on the field but neither team is going to the Super Bowl anytime soon. The Rams have a long history in LA. The Chargers played one year in 1960 in LA before moving to SD so fanbase is going to be stronger for the Rams. Plus the Chargers and Raiders are rivals and there are many football fans in LA that are Raiders fans and hate the Chargers. But LA is also full of transplants who may latch onto the Chargers if they start winning sooner then the Rams

Actually no. LA does not need both teams to pay for the stadium. For one, LA isn't paying for it, Kroenke is. He was going to build it regardless if a 2nd team came or not.

I just dont know why there are 2 teams in one city...I guess NYC has two sports teams in baseball though.

In general it doesn't seem like CA is a huge football state?
San Diego couldn't get it done to build a new stadium. Simple as that. The Chargers will make more money and be valued more as the tenant in LA than they ever could as the main show in San Diego. It's not even close.

I would have preferred the Raiders, but the Chargers will be successful here in the long run if they really want to.

The only thing I care about is that I have more chances to see the Pats play in LA with an AFC team here

I think the chargers are playing the pats at gillette in October. Sounds like the chargers arent half the team the pats are.

They are going to use the same stadium. Once it's built, both teams will be playing at the new Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood

You say "In general it doesn't seem like CA is a huge football state?" Plain and simple, California is huge in everything. 40 million people call California home, that's why it's often referred to as a Nation State.

NFL is a way better product on Direct TV with Red Zone you can watch every game and not just the games in your area. NFL tickets are a rip off but that is just the way I look at it. You are not missing much by not going to the games, now college football games I love going to.
