I wouldn't blame it on the Expo Line. Santa Monica has always had a large homeless population. They're all over Santa Monica. Not just concentrated in one area either. The homeless population is growing everywhere.

Dudes, Jesus is reading your posts. He's not going to forget what you are saying and how you view the poor homeless people.

What does he think about things like this ?

Well, he's not homeless anymore. Free rent, free food, and a shower daily for the next 48 years.

The Expo Line is definitely a factor. ask any santa monica cop. but it's not the only one. Prop 57 and other laws that threw out the "nonviolent" prisoners . There's more scary transients than ever now.

On Mothers Day there was shirtless guy (high off something, probabl6 homeless too) holding a large stick and was banging it against signs so it echoes pretty good. This was at the pier crosswalk intersection. The obese lady cop directing traffic just looked at him and the other cop continued waving. If I was back in Texas, he would have been approached at the very least.

I know right. west hollywood isn't much better though. homeless everywhere there too.

beverly hills does it right. despite being in the middle of everything, it has (virtually) NO CRIME AND NO HOMELESS.

and it's not like they're inhumane to the homeless there.. they just kick them out. and the police dept doesnt tolerate criminals and isn't afraid to profile people that look out of place.

a little inconvenience goes a long way to saving lives and property in BH
