beverly hills does it right. despite being in the middle of everything, it has (virtually) NO CRIME AND NO HOMELESS.

and it's not like they're inhumane to the homeless there.. they just kick them out. and the police dept doesnt tolerate criminals and isn't afraid to profile people that look out of place.

a little inconvenience goes a long way to saving lives and property in BH
yup. I live in the western end of West Hollywood which is pretty much Beverly Hills so I rarely see homeless here. (now that i think about it, i dont think ive ever seen one).

every city should do what BH does.

Doubtful.

Seattle is out-competing the nation in attracting this vermin. I wouldn't be shocked if Seattle started sending planes down to bring them up.

All I have to say is Orange County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County and San Diego county cities have nowhere near the scale of homelessness that LA has despite having virtually the same weather as we do, for those that use good weather as the sole reason for the homeless invasion in LA.
Whatever the reason for the problem is lies in the way LA county cities deal with the issue since our neighbors clearly are doing something we aren't.

C'mon, be honest. You're not a Christian. You're simply feigning Christianity to bash conservatives.

Yet every time the issue of rising crime comes up, Santa Monica officials -- including police spokesmen -- insist that one can't say for certain that the Expo line is a contributing factor.

Santa Monica city leaders have their own agenda items: promote higher taxes, the Expo line, low income housing, commercial development, water conservation, the homeless, parks, and bicycles. Oppose cars and the airport.

Every study or pronouncement by city officials "objectively" validates their agenda items.

And so, because Santa Monica officials have long promoted the Expo line (part of their anti-car, "green," "sustainability" agenda), the Expo line can't possibly have had any negative impact.

But I'm from a Catholic background so I can do or say anything and then just do a rosarie for it. And besides, it's not like I'm a corrupt criminal scumbag like Eric Garcetti (https://www.google.com/#q=garcetti+seabreeze)

Yes, I am. Just like there were social workers looking in on that poor boy who was beaten and starved to death in Echo Park, or the 4 social workers currently on trial for the death of another child.

So much for people doing effective jobs, some may be overworked but some are lazy. You think if they don't care about children, they're going to care about homeless adults?

Put on your thinking cap Victor.

Of the four counties which one is the easiest to get to and get around in if you don't have a car? If you picked LA County you chose correctly.

I was in Culver City yesterday and was shocked to see under the 405. Underpass they had put huge boulders to prevent homeless encampments. It was the first proactive thing I've seen LA do against homeless. SM take note

I haven't been to Culver City for a bit , but I never remember seeing any or many homeless in the downtown Culver City area . In the city of L.A that type of area with a lot of people walking around and spending money would be prime hunting grounds for the homeless .

We need to really get over political correctness and make livability for tax paying citizens a priority .

It's not "inhumane to prevent homeless from sleeping under freeways "
