Yet more evidence Eric Crookcetti and the L.A. City Council are a bunch of thieves -- a judge reaffirmed that it's illegal for the City Council to skim the profits that the DWP was making which it should not have been in the first place. Who's looking out for you? Not Eric and the City Council.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is expected to credit tens of millions of dollars back to customers – as a result of a legal settlement involving accusations the City-owned utility has been unlawfully profiting from electricity sales.

Settlement documents obtained by KFI NEWS this week detail a plan to resolve three lawsuits that challenged whether the DWP and the City were within their authority to raise electricity rates while transferring about $250-million in “excess revenue” (profit) to the City’s general fund each year.
How this worked was that the DWP kicked money over to the city council, while the city council continued to support the DWP's proposed rate hikes. Yeah, it's that ****ing dirty.

I really hate these scumbags. And where's the public outrage? Where are the protests? When do hundreds of thousands of people march through downtown L.A.? I guess they don't, since they're too busy putting on their vagina hats to march against Trump because this city is full of stupid lemmings who only do what virtue-signaling celebrities (or has-been celebrities such as Madonna or never-were celebrities like Ashley Judd) tell them to do.

The DWP is rated in the top 5 of most corrupt unions in the Whole US! I've loathed them for years and I don't live in their district thank God. And I'll believe those refund checks when I see them. Not one word from crapcetti today about them but he's sure complaining about Trump

Probably won't see a refund check. In a few years the customers will see their rates go up less than they expected. So instead of paying another $100/year in rate hikes you will only pay $95, and that's how you will get your stolen money returned. lol

Is anybody besides the few of us who posted in this thread going to get outraged over all this or are we all still worried about the racial epithet allegedly painted on LeBron James' gate in front of a home he rarely uses?

The dwp & city of L.A are crooks. It is amazing how they rip off the residents. L.A. is a sanctuary city & that is just wrong.

Within the last 10 years or so, IIRC, either DWP or SCE applied a rate hike where the sole purpose of the rate hike was to put the employee pension program on a healthier footing.

Those who would march for good can't, as they are too busy working and taking care of their families.
