Thumbs up The hikes

Many good things listed on this thread, and I have my own list. One thing that I like best about life in the L.A. area is hiking -- Griffith Park, San Mo Mnts., Chatsworth, Rim of the Valley, Topanga and Malibu Canyons to name a few.

-The weather. Even the may gray and overcast days, I dont mind those. Its a nice variety.

You've got 80% sunshine, maybe 10-15% overcast, a few percent windy, a few percent rain. Absolutely perfect, I couldn't ask for more.

-In N Out Burger.

-Bobs Big Boy in Burbank (awesome)

-Hollywood Bowl in the summer (fireworks show, john williams, just spectacular)

-Mountains

-Lakers

-Some nostalgia and things that have been here awhile, Santa Monica Pier, Getty, Griffith Park

-PCH on a summer day with clear skies

-Variety of shopping and eating

-Hollywood history. The Sony lot in Culver City. The Hollywood sign. Walk of Fame. Movie premiers in westwood, etc.

-Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive. Seeing Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, $300,000 Rolls Royces, that never gets old.

-Movie theaters, entertainment you cant find elsewhere (the Landmark at Westside Pavillion).
