I didn't know that. I guess I always thought KNAC was heavy metal.

And they played great stuff, too. Problem was they had no budget and they were forever trying to up their signal. I know they got absorbed by some corporation- based in the Miracle Mile, no less - and did the metal thing. Ozzy appearances, promotions, etc.

Jim Ladd and Uncle Joe Benson are still on. I cant remember the station though. Joe Benson is on from around 3:00 to 6:00. I love his 5 oclock funnies.

Ladd does weeknights on KLOS. I don't really like what he plays anymore as its about 30 years out of touch, but occassionally he'll actually play something "hard" rather than the softer side of rock
