He might forget about governor and shoot for President .

Eric Garcetti isn’t running for president (wink, wink) - POLITICO

His record is awful though and he has managed to be worse than his predecessor , which I didn't think was possible .
At the rate crime and the homeless situation is growing it's scary to think of how bad it will be by the end of his current term .

Just think of the fun if he is Governor of CA and sees that as a stepping stone to a Presidential run.

I wonder how many people know that DWP employees are or were the best paid civil servants in the city system? I am not going into detail, but my father was a relatively high up executive with them and I worked for DWP a few summers while in college. My brother, like my father retired from DWP. I am happy my family benefited from the high salaries and good retirement, but why the DWP employees need more money blows my mind.

article from today about the DWP scandal

"Negotiated behind closed doors and approved by the council without input from the public, Mayor Eric Garcetti can now check the box on his "back to basics" campaign promise because nothing is more basic in Los Angeles than a backroom deal."

DWP and the city of LA leave ratepayers in the dark: Doug McIntyre

I'm a big fan of McIntyre -- I listen to his show every weekday morning. If most people in this city did the same we'd have a very different political leadership.
