Greetings! I am in search of short term rental for my parents (both are in the 70s) near LA Korea town. Due to our budget constraints, we are looking at under $1,000 a month for a small place with private bed + bath. I understanding it may be a house share situation given the budget.

Also how is the weather during the month of July and August? Surely it can't be hotter than Vegas...

Thank you!!

Try craigslist: los angeles classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events. They list short term rentals.

The temperature will probably be in the high 80s to low 90s in July and August.

Thank you both for the info! I've been checking craigslist but haven't seen much. May be I'll try central LA as search parameter.

Are there any parts that are quieter than others? As long as walk to shops etc are less than 1/2 mile or so.

going by your screenname, im going to assume you are korean

for the price you are asking, ktown would be a good option.......there are plenty of restaurants and groceries they can walk to......western and olympic has koreatown galleria and up a few blocks is koreatown plaza..........they can definitely enjoy the weather and walk around ktown during the day..........literally a coffee shop, cafe, bakery, etc in every strip mall

as for a longer, more permanent residence, check out orange county.......garden grove, fullerton, cerritos, irvine have plenty of koreans in the area.......my parents settled down in irvine.......they just built a couple new markets down there.........also plenty of golf courses..........

good luck

Right - it seems like an ideal place for my folks. They just need to get away from Vegas during the oven like summer. Thanks for the info!
