He got the 2028 Olympics to Los Angeles. Thats his legacy. And getting 2 NFL teams and a Soccer team. And getting billions in federal grants for the Metro rail lines and helping pass the transit measure. And all the hotels, highrise, skyscrapers and everything happening in LA. And Silicon Beach. And the tallest skyscraper ever in LA. Many here hate him because he is winning so much. They are hoping he would be losing but he is winning. Today he got the Olympics 2028. I cant believe I didnt vote for him twice. What was I thinking? He is the GOAT. He still has many years to accomplish more. I was here for the 84 Olympics and it was amazing. Everyone who was here for it says it was amazing. I helped with the Special Olympics and that was amazing.

Yeah awesome Mayor!.. Not

L.A is a great city but not thanks to it's politicians.
The Olympics and skyscrapers didn't happen because Garcetti is Mayor and they aren't going to turn around the damage he has caused.

In all fairness the Olympics are happening because of Garcetti. A more intelligent man (or more intelligent woman) would not have pursued the Olympics. There were good reasons why no other mayor pursued them - as they knew it would bankrupt their cities. This is proof that he really is the dumbest big city mayor in America.

But what does he care ? He won't even be Mayor and he's already very wealthy .
Even as Mayor he gives zero Fs about people that live in L.A ... except maybe illegals and criminals.

"The efforts of police officers on the streets have had an effect, but the root causes of crime – joblessness, homelessness, substance abuse – are deep and require the community’s help to solve, Moore said.

“It is like fighting fires – spot fires,” he said. “We have a finite number of resources, and at the end of the day, the LAPD isn’t going to fix this."

LA never really tried to solve or do anything about it's homeless problem, and now the matter is getting worse and is apparently a FACTOR in crime.

So is joblessness............

Lack of a good public transportation system (yes, it's better than it was 20 years ago but it is still not good) I think is a part of why you have joblessness and homeless among certain sectors of the population. California historically lacked in it's public services. Mental health treatment was often unavailable until the ACA for large numbers of poor people.

You'd have to redesign LA economically to change things.

That's what I was thinking. The Olympics lately has bankrupted cities, and isn't something you necessarily want. LA says it's saving money because they already have built the facilities. I do hope LA makes money on this, but given the Olympics recent history, one has to be cautious.

Can we at least pretend we're getting the Olympics next year so the city can start getting rid of all the mentally deranged street people? At least get that done for us, Eric, you little twerp-****.

Having the Olympics is not a positive thing it is bankrupting cities, you lose money on it that event big time.
