I've played with Google Maps about this but if any of you are expert drivers in LA especially with a drive like this, it would be great to hear your expertise.

I have an interview Monday morning in Mission Hills a little less than a mile from the 5. I then have an interview in San Pedro less than a mile from the 110. Google Maps says to do 5 into the 110 over the 5 into the 210 and into the 110, but wouldn't the 210 help avoid a lot of the construction and traffic that is usually on the 5??? I am unable to change the times of the interviews. Maybe there's another route I never thought of? Thanks

You can take the 5 south from Mission Hills to the 110 south into San Pedro. Most direct route. An alternate is taking the 405 south to the 110 south into San Pedro. Depending upon the time of day, either way can be a very long drive.
