Guessing you did not like the chromed out pick-up trucks with spotlights driven through the stadium as part of the opening ceremonies? It was very...redneck.

This. Hosting the Olympics tends to be a train wreck. The city of Vancouver, BC, tore down all the affordable housing units in one neighborhood, to make room for Olympics facilities, and left the residents out on the streets! Then they issued tents to them, and changed city laws to allow them to camp in the parks. Instant homeless population! It could happen to you.

Gentrification: the process of renovating and improving a house or district so that it conforms to middle-class taste.

Yep, that's what California politicians love to do. Wage war on the middle class. Scare everyone off to places like Texas so that there's nothing but mega wealthy and mega poor people in California.

The Olympics is a good cover to push the RTP SCS agenda on tax payers at the cost of $556 billion. You thought gas tax was bad...

It's not happening in California. Lawyers would have a FIELD day.

Wasn't there a documentary on how the Olympics actually pushed people out of their homes in other countries?

It's a huge scam and has destroyed people's lives if I remember correctly after watching the documentary.

Won't happen, as they are all ready pushed out by rising prices. That is why LA's homeless population is so high.
