I miss westfield topanga mall. I miss Brents Deli in Northridge. I miss Carnival Lebanese restuarant in sherman oaks. I miss Gelsons markets. I miss Santa Barbara,California.

Im sure i missore about LA. Moving to seattle was still one of the best choices i ever made though.

Then why do you spend so much time here posting and obsessing over about the SFV and your friends and family and everything that is happening here? You might as well move back

I didn't grow up there but did spend most of the 80s there during college, new college grad and subsequent years. Things I miss:

- Decent French Dips (really, French Dips in general, hard to find up here in NorCal)
- KROQ (I know it's not what it used to be, but comparatively speaking ... )
- 91X (during summer thanks to the marine layer) ... ditto
- Real mountains at the edge of town (no, sorry folks, the little pipsqueak knolls we have up here in the Bay are NOT real mountains)
- Good shore diving less than 2 hours from home
- Date shakes
- K-town
- Thai town
- a number of other ethnic towns
- Westwood / UCLA
- DTLA
- The LBC (warts and all)
- A great international airport that has a number of airlines we don't have at SFO

You might be the only person who ranks LAX above SFO.

I miss the beaches and the weather. (Moved from LA in 1992; lived in Visalia 1992-2004; Sacramento 2004-present).

I still have one foot in the area, but I miss the theaters, the late summer beaches, the kaleidoscope of tacos and unassuming but great ethnic foods in general and the moderate and wonderfully green winters. I live in NYC now, and I do still prefer it, but I still like a lot of Los Angeles and it's progressively grown on me with each visit.
