One of my acquaintances moved to the Bay Area a year back and has fallen into the stereotypical Oakland hippie persona who hates on LA just to fit in. She's been to LA once. This morning she shared this article reading it as if it were true and not riddled with sarcasm. I thought to myself "she's an outlier, there's no way that anti-LA mindset exists to this level of nievity", but found all her Oakland comrades to pile onto it. I'm losing more faith in humanity as time goes on.

Anyway, I got a chuckle out of the article and I think you guys will too...

Ha! While living in HW I heard crap like this all the time from other tenants. One said he was a successful music producer, but a few days later I bumped into him on the Blvd trying to sell me a celebrity homes tour. I respect their hustle...but not the fake-it-till-you-make-it facade.

I am from North Carolina and #3 is so true. On the flip side, many of my NC friends drive minivans while I drive a roadster.
