Thanks, Nick! There was a really nice place in Mt. Washington that we really liked - in fact, as a house, it had much nicer features than the one we settled on in Silver Lake! However, the proximity to Kaiser is what eventually sold us - that and the fact that it's a short walk to Sunset Blvd restaurants and shops.

But yeah, we were really wowed by the views up in Mt. Washington - we saw a house on Nordica (also one on Palmero) and the views were literally breathtaking... I went out to the balcony and felt sick to my stomach because it was so high - so that was one thing I couldn't take into account while doing my research online!

Anyway, Mt. Washington is really nice and really is probably the last affordable place in L.A. that is so central to everything.

Funny you mention Nordica- my friend just moved in last week! Parking is a drag, but what a view. Amazing.

Yeah, I really liked Nordica... say congratulations to your friend! As soon as you walk in, it's stunning - the openness, the views... but we settled on a place closer to Kaiser that actually has decent views (nowhere near Mt.W quality), but we have usable outdoor space.

Yeah, I noticed the parking wasn't the greatest - I think mostly the drive up from Division was a little too hilly as well. But yeah, those views make it all worth it!
