When I was at the Costco in Marina del Rey a few weeks ago, they had far fewer Columbus brand meat packs than usual, and more Kirkland brand instead, which I don't like as much as Columbus. Are all our local Costcos doing this?

Ironically, Kirkland brand meats sometimes smell to me like perhaps they actually came here on the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria.

I cried inside when Costco switched from Hebrew National hot dogs to their own brand. Doesn't taste nearly as good. Costco has the economic weight to create their own branded products. Been going on for years now. Most Kirkland stuff is fine, but their hot dogs sure need work.

I can't eat it any longer, but that Columbus brand Italian-style mortadella with pistachios. Tasteh.

That's what I've been getting. You're right. They are good. A buck fifty with a soda has to be the best bargain out there.

Yes I noticed this last year. There was a specific style of Columbus sliced turkey, then they stopped carrying it in favor of this other Columbus sliced turkey. However this Columbus sliced turkey is impossible to peel off from the other slices creating a very un-hygienic situation.

I have a suspicion they did this so people pick up the Kirkland brand sliced turkey. I don't like being forced to choose a brand so the hell with that Kirkland sliced turkey.
