Default Places to live if working in Azusa

Hi,

I am a new college graduate, single and female and will be taking up my first job in Azusa in a couple of months. I went to school in Claremont and I am looking to not live in a Claremont type suburbia. I would ideally want to live in a place that has a metropolitan, young vibe to it. Suggestions for which cities to look at? Ideally they would be west of Azusa so I can avoid commuter traffic ... Thanks!

Hello,

I grew up in Azusa and have lived around the area. If you'd like to live west of Azusa, Pasadena would be good. Just 20 minutes away. You may have some (light) traffic but going east on the 210 isn't that bad at all. Heavy traffic is going the opposite direction towards Downtown and Hollywood. I wouldn't call Pasadena Metropolitan exactly but the cities between Pasadena and Azusa, are quite suburban. But there is plenty to do in Pasadena, particularly Old Town. But Hollywood & Downtown is just a short distance away.

West Covina is about 15 min - 20 min down the road and you won't have to tackle the freeway.
