this is just empty land... they could totally turn this whole stretch into 2-3 levels of small businesses... and make underground parking.

if they just do trees, that'll be stoooopid.

it's actually not that small. the map makes it look like it is but there's plenty of room to do something like this.

businesses would be square and it would connect like this.. with parking spots right in front for plenty of cars... and you can add underground parking as well.

If I remember correctly, the MTA owns this land. Since MTA is transit focused, they want to build transit related developments, which BH is not a big fan of. I think it would be pretty interesting to sell the land to BH on the condition they turn into a green belt similar to the north side of SM Blvd.

Rail line. Rebuild the Santa Monica Blvd. tracks and have light rail on it.

Agreed. A nice, lush, green belt similar to the one north of SM blvd would balance it out and it would look beautiful.
