And their opinions are important...because?

Because there are a lot of people with problems and feel like their city isn’t listening to them.

The heck with OVERCROWDED urban cores! They should be banned. LA should not strive to replicate the overcrowded conditions of third world countries. It sounds like you want to create a nightmare scenario! The beauty of the Los Angeles area should in no way resemble the sewer of Manhattan.

It’s just some of my ideas. Hopefully someone else will add their ideas as well.

If there is a contest for the most hilarious CD post you have a winner here. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. When I go shopping I fill up the trunk and back seat of my car. The main thing I look for in a shopping area is easy parking. It is useless to have a walkable shopping area unless one is not planning to buy much. And if one is not planning to buy much why waste the time on a semi-useless shopping trip?!

Lol, you want downtown to be a suburb? The urban core only applies to just that. The urban cores. There should be dense urban areas and suburb mostly the way they are.

You must not go outside of LA much. There are many suburban places that allow you to walk to stores. Shopping centers are also not just grocery stores but restauratns and other things. And I never said bulldoze the parking lots.

Definitely! I miss the LA downtown of the 1980's where one could drive up to Chinatown or Little Tokyo and park easily on the street. Now I live in San Francisco but I have not been to downtown San Francisco since December 2008.
