Default Help! Trying to Find a Nice Town Near Commerce

Help I'm trying to find the best town to lease a house 40 minutes or less commute during rush hour traffic to Commerce. Looking for towns with housing communities that have very upscale homes that are small but have backyards (a pool would be gr8). I'm looking for suburbia with country clubs, that type of place. Does this place exist near Commerce? I really appreciate any help you can provide. Schools are not important, but the area needs to be very safe.

My priorities are:

1. Commute time to Commerce (40 minutes or less with traffic)
2. A really nice, safe, upscale, and even elite town
3. Housing developments with backyards (the backyards and houses can be small but very high quality, in fact I'm looking for a small place that is upscale in design).

What I'm looking for is something like the new developments in Santa Clarita only close to Commerce.

Thank you so much for helping me, even if you tell me I'm SOL it will be appreciated so I can re-evaluate my situation.

try whittier, or somewhere in the san gabriel valley. south pas, alhambra. if you are looking to stay within 40 minutes from commerce. or downey, cerritos area. to keep it under 40 minutes you would be better staying away from the west part of town. stay east of the 710. many might consider this an area to stay away from, but thats because they probably know very little about the area. if you want a pool and nicer homes not frar from cmrc. try downey or whittier. use a map to see excatly where this is at and go from there.

Yep, I agree. Whittier is very diverse, property and people-wise. It's a pretty big city as well, so you have choices. Plus, it's westside is freeway-close.
