The city has really created a mess. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this but I doubt it .
The mayor and other local politicians don't seem to care much about business in the city either .. unless they are "immigrants" running a food cart. Then they bend over backwards.

---
We are seeking a remedy for the blight, unsanitary conditions, property theft and business disruption that is adversely affecting not only our businesses but the economy of the San Fernando Valley,” the cover letter of the petition said. “We cannot preserve and grow the economy of our beloved San Fernando Valley if our employees do not feel safe when they come to work and our businesses are plagued by theft and vandalism.”

Business tenants and owners of industrial parks in Chatsworth and Northridge have experienced a sudden rise in homeless people setting up semi-permanent vehicle dwellings in their area, ever since the city enacted a law earlier this year banning people from living out of vehicles throughout most of the city — while allowing them on most commercial and industrial streets, according to Caswell.

Because of that law, the business parks in the Valley communities have turned into “a giant RV park for the homeless,” Caswell said.

I was just visiting the Nethercutt Collection and there is a street near it full of RV Dwellers. Quite disgusting, complete mess, one had a 100 or so bikes outside of it, horrible stench even with the windows up on the car as we drove by on a hot day.

Sounds nasty . I'm guessing the bikes are stolen?

City should start taking this stuff seriously especially with the recent Hepatitis outbreak .

It's now become a public health issue .

I know what they could do! They could hire some for jobs and maybe that will help them climb out of poverty!

The RV homeless need to be provided homes and a place to park their RVs.

That's the city of Los Angeles for you. If this was a nearby city such as Burbank, Glendale, or Pasadena, this problem would be dealt with swiftly.

One solution is to apply the State and Federal regulations.

Valid licence plate. Proof of valid vehicle insurance. Driver must have a valid DL.

Parking tickets, with tow away if there are outstanding unpaid California tickets of any kind.

Public Health inspections, with fines and or seizure of the vehicle under the State health regulations. Especially the sewage dumping nonsense.

Police to conduct computer checks on individuals, for arrest warrants or outstanding child support orders, and immigration deportation orders. Nightly walk ins by Police to disturb their sleep.

Music is a very effective way to move the problem people away. Classical music played at high volume, all night long with speakers mounted 20 feet in the air. One of the shopping centres near me broadcasts Mozart, Chopin and Vivaldi 24 hours a day outside on the sidewalk. The teens hate it and do not hang around. Adults have no problem with it at all.

So, enforce the laws. Keep at it and make sure that the news media get updates every few days, about how many of the RVs have moved on.

XXX.

Massive euthanasia. Put them to sleep like stray dogs. (But let's save the stay dogs)

In Brentwood, we made it illegal to park these big behemoths on the street and dwell in them overnight. Worked perfectly -- problem solved.
