Mostly families. Demographics aren't in your favor. I had the same problem when I lived in Moorpark. SC is safe. Hot in summer. Nice place for cycling when it isn't too hot. Great place to take off from for motorcycle riding.
Some guy posted an almost identical post on the Denver forum this morning. Here's how I responded for dealing with a challenging environment: Adult sports leagues (Google Maps "co-ed" OR "mixed league") Ask your colleagues if they know any friends your age There are young adult church groups (which believe or not I was part of strictly for social reasons - it paid off.) Community college classes (I deliberately took Art 3D, Art 2D, when I was in an engineering undergrad just to meet chicks - it paid off.) Yoga Women's discount shoe stores (like fishing in a barrel) There always seems to be lots of hot elementary school teachers....just need to find a way to meet them. Library events Dog training |

You're right about Santa Clarita. It's a stereotypical suburban soccer mom town...huge SUV's driven by Starbucks drinking moms. It's a wonderful place to raise children, quiet, safe, good schools, parks...but extremely boring if you're a young adult and single. My husband and I moved to SC when we were in our mid to late 20's because our jobs were in this area. On weekends, we'd drive to Pasadena or West LA for entertainment/dinners/shows/etc. If you're into outdoor stuff like hiking and biking, then SC has a lot to offer. But not much "cool" stuff for someone in their early 20's. Golf and wine are very popular among most adults in this town. Many social events involve one or the other. If you follow the advice from Charles, I'm sure you'll meet lots of women! ![]() Regards, mari |

This is funny. Santa Clarita is a great location, Your not far from the valley, Hollywood or LA. Ventura is right around the corner. This is a family town, but plenty of singles. And Charles is hilarious!
