Ronald Todd Eskew, better known as Najee Ali is out as the National Action Network (NAN) Los Angeles Chapter’s political director after his current wife came forward about being physically abused by him. In the wake of the allegations, NAN both locally in Los Angeles and nationally under the leadership and direction of Rev. Al Sharpton have cut all ties from Ali.

Ali, who is frequently called on by the news media as a spokesperson for Black people in Los Angeles and is known to be a trusted confidant of L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti and an ally for police chief Charlie Beck on Black issues, most recently criticized Tavis Smiley after PBS said an investigation found “troubling allegations” of misconduct by the radio and TV host.

Yeah good point .

His armed robbery convictions and other crimes should of disqualified him. I'm sure Garcetti knew about that but he thinks everyone deserves a second , third , fourth chance .

Pretty worrisome too this guy also has the ear of the police chief .

It's a worse matter than when those thug rappers were meeting with Garcetti and Beck, and the two of them became Mayor Cuckcetti and Chief Cuckolded. And during their press conference Charlie looked particularly bad as I recall, like somebody had just kicked him in the groin.

Back in 2008 he was also sentenced to 4 years in jail after pleading guilty to intimidating and bribing a witness .

Najee Ali, known as an outspoken critic of law enforcement, was sentenced to four years in state prison Monday after pleading guilty to trying to bribe a witness in his daughter's criminal case.

The 45-year-old former gang member turned community activist tried to tamper with a witness in January outside his daughter's preliminary hearing in Alhambra, said Sandi Gibbons, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

He was charged March 11 with attempting to intimidate and bribe a witness. But prosecutors later dismissed the intimidation charge.

That's a big part of it, but what led up to it is also important.

Someone who goes to Harvard Westlake and who lives in the most expensive neighborhoods of the city is not going to learn how to recognize those people and deal with them. I doubt the young Garcetti ever even rode an RTD bus
