You inject yourself in this specific dialogue. Can you address the comment instead of dodge it with an emoji?

She "injects herself"? Last time I checked, this was a discussion forum. If you don't care for the topic, find another thread or forum.

Time to take a course in Logic 101. Your ad hominem arguments aren't really effective.

If you insist. Please DM your whereabouts to Patrolman so he can make the arrangements for that, and thank you for your cooperation, ma'am.

So someone complains about ad hominem attacks but the same post does nothing but engage in an ad hominem attack!

Good article /op ed from Todd Spitzer

Excerpt below ..
——
Los Angeles County’s homeless population numbers well over 50,000; Orange County has about 5,000 homeless people. Los Angeles’ total population is three times larger than Orange County’s. If our rate of homelessness matched L.A.’s, we would have about 15,000 people on the streets. Perhaps Mayor Garcetti should be looking to us for solutions for his homeless problem, instead of taking potshots.
We don’t accept homelessness as a way of life, and we don’t enable the homeless population. We are dedicated to pulling the homeless out of that existence. A lawsuit on behalf of homeless people who wanted to continue living along the river has resulted in monitoring by a federal judge, who is requiring additional shelters throughout the county. Still, we have an anti-overnight camping ordinance, and we can use it to arrest lawbreakers.

Mayor Garcetti may look upon Orange County with disdain for our “NIMBY” stance, but there is a reason people want to live here. We will fight to prevent Orange County from becoming a replica of Los Angeles. We will not accept a permanent skid row

lol poor Todd, what's he running for this time? You've got to hand it to him, he's the consummate politician. They cleaned out the river banks because they provided more shelter, the court wouldn't let them clear out the area without offering the people shelter. LA is so short of shelter space that it doesn't matter if they have an anti-camping ordinance they can't enforce it unless they can offer the people shelter.

I'm not sure what he means by "we don't enable the homeless". Of course they enabled them- what do you call this?

SANTA ANA, CALIF.
A Southern California judge has ordered Orange County officials to submit plans on what to do about hundreds of homeless people who were removed from tent camps along the Santa Ana River.

KABC-TV reports that Judge David Carter set a deadline of July 16 for the cities of Santa Ana and Anaheim to create specific sites for emergency intake, transitional and long-term housing.

More than 700 homeless people were moved to motels in February under a court-supervised deal after advocates sued to protect the rights of evicted tent-dwellers along the river. After the motel vouchers expired, many homeless people were moved to armories in both cities. Carter has invited both sides of the lawsuit to tour the Santa Ana armory on the morning of June 5. What do you think about L.A county having 10 times as many homeless as Orange County despite having a population only 3 times larger?
You don’t think it has anything to do with the homeless being enabled in L.A?
