Seems to be a different world then Hollywood/Santa Monica, DTLA etc. Just my imagination of some truth here?

I guess that is what it's called. Burbank. Sherman Oaks area (and beyond maybe). The people seem more civilized and friendlier. I didnt notice 1 tent on the side of the road either

You’re referring to the other side of the HILL which is the San Fernando Valley
So called, but they're the Santa Monica Mountain Range.

You weren’t looking hard enough. There’s actually a couple massive tent cities in industrial parts of Van Nuys, and again along Lakershim in Sun Valley.

the hills north to Ventura bld/101 is mostly nice. That isn't the case if you keep going north from there...just like on the south side of the hill going the other way.
