We'll be heading up to L.A. in about six weeks to see Jethro Tull at the Greek Theatre, and we'll be staying at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Given that the concert starts at 8PM, how much time should we allow for an Uber ride in order to be on time? Or for a taxi? We certainly won't be driving ourselves.

It's a total crawl up Vermont, so that's where a bottleneck might occur. Foot traffic moves faster.

I'd say leave way early, bring some food to eat in the park before the show then stroll in without feeling rushed.

That's how I do it and I live a few miles from there.

You know, for some reason on these forums the very screen names of my respondents are disheartening in ways that are specifically apropos to the questions I have asked.

Over in the Investing forum I've had questions answered by an individual going by the name Low Expectations.

Unfortunately I'm not sure walking will be an option for us.

You are maybe 3-5 miles away. Bus or Uber to Los Feliz & Vermont then walk up the hill. Unless you are crippled or something.

The theatre is buried within a very large park, which is why I go early and picnic outside.

Sometimes it's showtime, the band is onstage and the place is still half empty with Vermont jammed up.

Awful venue though, I hope you didn't travel from far away specifically for the show.
