Just check the prices in the buildings going up now.
Because theyre new and rare. Later those will get old and prices drop when even newer ones are built and with mire supply, things will even out.
It’s just physics..

I completely disagree with the author's premise. Where is housing being restricted? Elected officials got the message 30 years ago to "approve new building projects at your peril." Where? The Westside, one of the areas that the author is talking about, is so crowded and has so much traffic that no one even wants to move there. I've lived in L.A. a long time, and I've never seen so much residential building.

Can't build fast enough to keep up with growth and cost of building (That is physics). Prices will not drop at all. Wishful thinking. That is reality.

Maybe the California Association of Realtors report will make more sense.

Caused by too many illegals coming to these sanctuary cities, as well as apartments being turned into Airbnb rentals.

We keep talking about this topic and I sometimes think I'm Caught Somewhere in Time. All this prattle about a housing crisis makes me think I'm living on a Sea of Madness, where I'll ask, "Can I Play with Madness?"
