I completely disagree with the author's premise. Where is housing being restricted? Elected officials got the message 30 years ago to "approve new building projects at your peril." Where? The Westside, one of the areas that the author is talking about, is so crowded and has so much traffic that no one even wants to move there. I've lived in L.A. a long time, and I've never seen so much residential building.

Can't build fast enough to keep up with growth and cost of building (That is physics). Prices will not drop at all. Wishful thinking. That is reality.
